## Troubleshoot first

Most problems have an answer in the [FAQ](https://docs.2api.dev/en/faq/). First run the [self-check command](https://docs.2api.dev/en/faq/#do-this-first). It tells you whether the problem is the key, the address or the client.

## Include this when you ask

- Which tool you use: Claude Code, Codex, Cherry Studio and so on
- The full error, as a screenshot or as text
- The Base URL you entered
- Roughly when the error happened
- Claude Code users: the output of `claude doctor` and a screenshot of `/status`. Codex users: a screenshot of `/status`

Mask your key in screenshots and chat logs. Support doesn't need your key and won't ask for your account password.
